A SPANISH WALNUT GOTHIC BOOKCASE with cavetto cornice hung with pierced interlaced arches with pointed finials, above three pairs of pierced Gothic-arched glazed doors, each enclosing four adjustable shelves, divided by disengaged turned columsn with laurel-leaf carved capitals, the base section with three pairs of panelled doors applied with twin ogee-shaped arched reliefs surmounted by a cabochon, each enclosing a shelf, on moulded plinth base, second quarter 19th Century, restorations, the later back boards to the lower section stamped NAPOLEON/PAR and N Alexandre./Paris and R E, probably fitted at one time
