The rim decorated with a wide band of brass tenzogan and pierced with stylised monkeys in ko-sukashi, square mimi, with a wood box

Lot Essay

The piercing of the two stylised monkeys is perfectly positioned. Kukurizaru, the self righting or toppling toy monkeys, are traditionally said to bring good luck and happiness.
