Lot Essay

Both the first and second Yamakichi were metalworkers to the Oda family. The correct name is Yamasaka Kichibei. The styles and general technique is similar to Nobuie and Hoan. The strong spontaneous plate is well forged with a good colour of sabi and gentle granular tekkotsu.
