The irregularly shaped forged iron plate carved and decorated with a design of dragons with tama in maru-bori, with a wood box

Lot Essay

The artist Kogitsune is thought to be related to Kinai, but no reliable details are recorded. Kogitsune tsuba designs are certainly similar to the 4th and 5th generations of Kinai, although the iron is significantly softer.
