There were some Sadamasa who worked in the Tango province. They made tsuba of high quality iron. They were very independent and seem to have been self taught, with characteristics in common with Sakushu Nakagawa, Suruga, Kishu Teimei, Shoami and Umetada. Three or four artists with the name Sadamasa are known and the work was steady and devoted. See Kawaguchi, W, Tsuba Taikan, (Nanjinsha, Tokyo, 1934), p. 502.
