An interesting 19th century gold quarter repeating and musical pocketwatch in drum shaped case with plain back and ribbed band, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel moon hands, the frosted gilt movement with hanging barrels, monometallic balance and cylinder escapement, repeating on two square section gongs under the dial by operating the pendant, the music playing on the hour and at will with horizontial pin barrel and 36 tuned teeth in banks of three, under a gilt cover engraved with a musical score, the barrel scratch marked Chapuis & Barrat a Geneve Fecit 1813, under cuvette No.754 and inscribed R.é Par Le Roy a Paris
