A MEISSEN FAMILLE VERTE PLATE, the centre painted in a dark underglaze blue with a flowering shrub within an iron-red circular cartouche with white scrolling foliage, the border with peony and chrysanthemum within an underglaze blue diaper rim (slight rubbing to iron-red band), blue crossed swords mark, indistinct painter's mark to footrim and Dreher's ///, circa 1728
