A MEISSEN OVIFORM TEAPOT AND COVER with gilt bird's head spout and moulded wishbone handle painted in the manner of Bonaventura Gottlieb Häuer with a crucifixion scene with two churches and with figures by a cottage with a distant tower in wooded river landscapes within ombrierte gilt scroll, shell and gitterwerk cartouches and with scattered Holzschnitt Blumen, the shoulder and cover with gilt scroll and flowerhead borders and with a carnation finial (silver-gilt mounts with chain attachment most probably disguising damage to spout and top terminal of handle, slight scratching to enamels on one side), blue crossed swords mark, traces of gilder's mark, Dreher's o, circa 1735
