TWO NYMPHENBURG FIGURES OF AN ORIENTAL AND COMPANION modelled by Franz Anton Bustelli seated in stylised rococo scroll supports, he in blue skull cap, iron-red tunic, blue flowered shirt, pink puce-patterned pantaloons and yellow shoes, turned to his left and holding a teabowl and saucer, she in pale-yellow lined blue veil, long-sleeved pink jacket, long yellow skirt holding an artichoke and with another artichoke in a basket on her lap, the rococo scroll-moulded bases edged in puce and gilt and applied with coloured flowers (he with left hand repaired at wrist and minor chips to flwoers and leaves, she with minor restoration to right hand and sleeve, restored chips to flowers and edge of base), impressed Bavarian shield marks, circa 1760, the decoration later
