A STAFFORDSHIRE BLACK-GLAZED BALUSTER MILK-JUG AND COVER with pinched lip and flat scroll handle, gilt with a vase of trailing flowers and with a butterfly beneath a shaped diaper border, the cover gilt with flowers and with vase-shaped finial, terminating on three mask and paw feet (gilding rubbed), circa 1760, 15.5cm. high; and a redware silver-mounted milk-jug and cover with loop handle, the top rim and acorn finial in white slip (body extensively cracked, cover with large chip), circa 1745, perhaps Newcastle-under-Lyme, the silver mounts probably Augsburg, 14.5cm. high (2)
