A BOW FIGURE OF MINERVA, the goddess standing with her left hand resting on a shield moulded with a bearded mask and with an owl at her feet, her pale-lilac helmet enriched with purple and gilt scrolls, wearing pale-lilac, purple and gilt scale cuirass and with pink drapery slung from her shoulders, the yellow lining painted with flowers, on a high pierced rectangular scroll-moulded base applied with flowers and enriched in puce and with gilding (right wrist and hand restored, chips to helmet and to flowers and foliage), circa 1765
