The hirazukuri tanto blade, mitsumune very slight sori, o-itame hada with mokume and some masame with ji-nie, wide midare hamon of nie with muneyaki, ubu nakago, 11 5/8in. (29.6cm.); with a nashiji saya decorated with kiku in gold hiramakie, matching shibuichi tsuchimeji mounts comprising fuchi-kashira, tsuba, koiguchi, a kurikata on a dogane, menuki, kozuka and kogai, all decorated with the junishi in iroe takazogan, takabori and other techniques, all save the menuki signed Seii, 19th century
