Lot Essay

Cesare Costantino Raimondo Ceribelli was born in Rome in 1841, but died in France in 1918. He studied under Tadolini and at the French Academy in Rome. He moved to Paris at the age of twenty-five, becoming a French citizen in 1866. He established a successful studio in Paris and exhibited regularly at the Salon.
