A VIENNA-STYLE CLARET-GROUND CABARET, painted by C. Foster with named scenes of classical figures in landscapes, comprising a footed oviform teapot and cover, a similar two-handled sugar-bowl and cover, a baluster milkjug, six footed cups and saucers and a two-handled shaped rectangular tray painted by J. Bergmann with Perseus befreiet Andromeda, the finials, handles, spouts and rims painted in burnished gilding, the grounds enriched with bands of gilt formal scrolls and foliage enriched with turquoise 'jewels', within pink rims (one cup restored, two cups a replacement with blue borders), artists' signatures, blue beehive marks and iron-red script, circa 1910
