EIGHT LIMOGES PLATES IN THE STYLE OF THE SÈVRES HUNTING SERVICE, the centres painted in gilding with a six-pointed star and symmetrical scrolling tendrils within a gilt key-pattern cavetto, the borders printed and painted with animals and birds among dense scrolling foliage, divided by oval iron-red cartouches painted with fruit and a hunting trophy en grisaille, and by diamond-shaped cartouches enclosing the L. P. monogram, all outlined in gilding, (minor wear to gilding), imitation blue and orange Sèvres marks, the reverses with moulded concentric rings, circa 1880
