A LONGWY JAPANESQUE CLOCK-GARNITURE, the central clockcase formed as a censer with a kylin finial and two grotesque-mask handles, raised on an integral rectangular footed stand moulded with masks and Oriental emblems, flanked by two square-section candlesticks on similar stands, the pale-grey grounds printed in brown with flowering shrubs, ruyi lappets, Greek-key pattern and scrolls flanking peony within brown-line rims, enriched with a gilt lustre (all restuck to stands, one nozzle repaired, slight chips), impressed marks and model numbers 1701 and 1703, date code for 1884
