A MINTON MAJOLICA CENTREPIECE modelled as a Bacchanalian putto standing supporting a circular basket pierced with diaper on his head, the figure turned to his right, garlanded with ivy and clad in an animal pelt suspended from a blue sash, his pan-pipes and a cymbal in his right hand and his left hand holding a bough of fruiting vine encircling his head, the bowl moulded on the exterior with a frieze of white blossoms and leaves and with a green-glazed interior, on a circular green-glazed rocky base edged in blue (some wear to interior of bowl, minute chip to base), impressed ermine mark and date code for 1860
