The bowl, maedate and shikaro lacquered to imitate russet iron, the four stage kanemono and the kanemono for the tassel shakudo and gilt copper, the teeth of the oni maedate carved shell, each of the fukigaeshi bears a bonji character in gold heidatsu, enriched with kirikemo? and rows of hirame, the "leather" lacing of the shikoro in silver, with a red bottom tier, the interior and riser of the kogo in silver hirame and nashiji over which are scattered gold mon in gold hiramakie, the underside decorated with karakusa in gold hiramakie and kiri mon in takamakie on a nashiji ground, the kuwagata are of gold lacquered copper
