AN AXE-HEAD with socket of angular section, the broad offset blade rising to a triangular point, cut off straight at the bottom, and struck fifteen times on one face with a mark, ICS in an oblong, late 17th Century; another, smaller, with flattened faceted socket and triangular blade with reinforced edge, short truncated 'beard', stamped on each face with a design of radiating lines and asterisks, and struck several times with a mark, IBS in an oblong, 17th Century; and another, with tubular socket, and bearded cusped blade struck with a mark, 16th/17th Century
