ANOTHER, with single-edged blade inscribed 'Meyer' on the back, brass hilt comprising short quillons and pommel-cap stamped throughout with conventional leaf borders, and natural staghorn grip, in original leather-covered wooden scabbard (companion knife missing) with brass locket and chape decorated en suite with the hilt and retaining traces of silvering; another, with broad double-edged blade (slightly pitted) etched on one face at the forte with the Virgin and Child and a Latin prayer, and on the other with the crucifixion, short brass quillons, and twisted brass wire bound swelling horn grip with fluted pommel-cap, in brass-mounted leather scabbard, both late 18th Century
