A RAPIER in 17th Century style, with tapering blade with central fuller on each face at the forte stamped with an inscription, fluted ricasso struck on each side with a 'twigg' mark, guard of flat bars comprising vertically recurved quillons and arms linked by two asymmetrical rings (one broken), shield-shaped pommel pierced for a sword-knot, and wire-bound wooden grip, the main surfaces throughout decorated with panels of hatching; another, with broad blade struck on one side with a mark and etched on both sides with running foliage involving shields of arms, two upturned shells, small spherical pommel, and wire-bound wooden grip; and another, with fullered single-edged blade, iron guard involving two large upturned shells pierced with holes, urn-shaped pommel, and wire-bound wooden grip
