A RAPIER in early 17th Century style, the blade with two fullers at the forte, hilt comprising deep cup formed of two large shells pierced to represent interlaced strapwork and decorated with small inlaid brass plaques, arms, straight quillons with fluted button terminals, knuckle-guard, pear-shaped pommel retaining traces of inlaid brass decoration, and wire-bound wooden grip (slight damage)
