A SHOT-PROOF BREAST-PLATE, intended to be worn without a back-plate, of bright steel of great thickness, flattened and with low medial ridge ending in a small point at the base, the bottom flanged, arms and neck with plain turns and bordered by an engraved line, on top of each shoulder a slot for straps (missing) with attachment studs below (replaced), bordered throughout by holes for attaching a lining, and below the neck with a series of punched dots; and another two, similar, one blackened, all second quarter of the 17th Century
