A LOBSTER-TAILED POT, the one-piece rounded ribbed skull with separate ring-shaped finial, pointed fixed fall with wing-screw for a nasal (missing), pointed neck-guard of four upward-lapping lames, pierced single-plate cheek-pieces, domed rivets and turned edges throughout, original lining leathers, and the surface blackened throughout, second quarter of the 17th Century; another, of Zischägge type, with fluted skull, nasal (slightly cracked) with leaf-shaped top stamped with a letter M, and brass-capped rivets throughout (one cheek-piece missing), possibly early 17th Century
