A GERMAN BLACK AND WHITE COMPOSITE HALF-ARMOUR, comprising burgonet with one-piece skull, bright recessed bands and prominent roped comb (plume-holder missing), separate riveted fall struck with the Nuremberg mark, deep hinged cheek-pieces pierced with ventilation holes, and single rear gorget-plate, the main edges turned and roped, and pairs of lining attachment holes throughout, almain collar with elbow-length spaudlers, peasecod breast-plate struck with the Augsburg mark, back-plate, and long tassets of six lames each (possibly later), the main edges turned and notch roped, the surface decorated throughout with bright raised bands and borders, late 16th Century
