An ivory netsuke of an oni hiding in a bronze bell; a marine ivory netsuke of a kasa overgrown with bamboo and vines, a snail slithering over it, chips; a metal netsuke of a gourd shaped sundial and astrological compass, slight rubbing to metal; an ivory manju netsuke with a map of Japan with details of the names of the provinces, 18th century; a lead and lacquered netsuke of a Portuguese gun, slight oxidisation to metal and chips to lacquer; and a metal ojime decorated in hirazogan and takazogan, with birds in a plum tree, slight rubbing to gilding
1½in. (3.8cm.) high, 1½in. (3.9cm.) wide, 2in. (5.2cm.) long, 0¾in. (1.7cm.) long and 2 3/8in. (6.1cm.) wide and 2¾in. (6.9cm.) long respectively (6)
