Four ivory netsuke and a stag antler ojime
19th century
Of masks of Okame, Okina, Hyottoko and Oni among others, signed Tadachika; four masks of Kitsune, Okame, Oni and Okina, the reverse carved with a ferocious figure; a samurai in full panoply, kneeling down to tie his sandal; a seated foreigner, a horn in his right hand and a hat on his back; and an ojime carved as Hyottoko and Kitsune
1½in. (3.6cm.) wide, 1½in. (3.7cm.) wide, 1½in. (3.6cm.) high, 1 3/8in. (3.4cm.) high and 0 7/8in. (2.1cm.) wide respectively (5)
