AN OTTOMAN DAGGER with nineteenth century double-edged curved blade with medial ridge on both sides, gold inlaid on both sides at the base with an Arabic inscription within foliate borders, the Indian rock-crystal hilt of Pesh kabs form in an engraved silver mount, a silver and gem inset flower at the pommel, (small chip), the Ottoman silver sheath of faceted curving tapering form with finely worked bands of niello floral meander around two inscription cartouches, the reverse with simple niello designs, raised arcaded similar and engraved parcel gilt floral panels above, silver palmette terminal above, the ball finial below, sheath early 17th century, (rubbed, slight restoration)
