A SYRIAN TURQUOISE GLAZED POTTERY BOWL with conical base angled in towards the T-section rim on short foot, the interior painted in black under the glaze with a large roundel of interlaced strips forming a flowerhead with hatched petals, in a lobed border, the rim with simple hatched motifs, the exterior with bold roundels below a band of stylised calligraphy, late 13th century (areas of irridescence, intact, hair crack)
