A LARGE ORNATE ENAMELLED AND INSET GILT WHITE METAL JEWELLERY CASKET of rectangular form with hinged cover revealing various rectangular recesses, one with sliding panel opening to rear section, the front with ten variously sized half depth drawers, on four scrolling feet, the surfaces with a variety of panels of scrolling and leafy arabesque interlace on coloured enamel grounds, within narrow strip borders inset with various precious and semi-precious stones, the top with a central raised pyramid, the sides inset with a variety of coloured stones around a central large cushion emerald carved with leaf motifs, the inside of the lid fitted with a mirror within a cusped silver surround enamelled with scrolling flowering vine in a variety of colours, probably Bokhara, late 19th century (very slight damages)
