AN EARLY SAFAVID ENGRAVED COPPER BOWL with rounded body and everted T-section rim, the exterior engraved under the rim with a band of naskh invocations to the twelve Imams on a cross-hatched ground, alternate large and small cusped triangular cartouches containing finely worked arabesque interlace designs below with palmette or trefoil pendants divided by small rosettes, the rim with four different floral meander panels dividing inscription cartouches giving the name of the patron, Hajji 'Ali ibn 'Abd al-........., early 16th century (slight surface corrosion)
