The Mother of God stands with Her hands covered by her brown maphorion with St. Simeon holding the Christ Child in his hands, to the left St. Anna indicates the scene to St. Joseph, carrying the traditional offering of two turtle-doves, the domed alter behind in an architectural setting, on gilt ground, within applied carved and shaped borders
