AN ANTIQUE SHAHSEVAN KILIM, the field divided into bands of different sizes, the central broad indigo band with three stepped hexagonal panels containing concentric hooked motifs, surrounded by minor similar and multiple embroidered animal, human and similar motifs, a similar narrower panel at each end flanked by rust-red panels of bold coloured hooked motifs, divided by minor ivory bands of stepped and serrated hexagons, in a bold black and white reciprocal skittle-pattern border, braided ends
