As yet, little is recorded of the photographer A. de Bonis. His work is recorded in the Parker Collection of the University of Ann Arbor, Michigan, assembled by John Henry Parker, architectural historian, antiquarian and publisher, during his visits to Rome in the 1860s and early 1870s. Photographs from Rome in this collection bearing the ink stamp of ADB or the small curly stamp DB date from the late 1850s and 1860s and include light albumen and albumen prints. Some prints in the collection appear to have been made from paper negatives while others are from wet collodion negatives.
