JOHNSTON. A.K. Johnston's six inch globe constructed from the latest authorities. Edinburgh and London: circa 1870.
A terrestrial table globe, diameter 6 inches, overall height 9½ inches (240mm.). Globe made up of 12 hand-coloured lithographed gores, lightly varnished (old restored crack along equator, a few minor repairs). Metal axis, brass hour cirle and meridian circle, graduated on one face, grooved on verso. Ebonised stand with hand-colured lithographed horizon circle, four baluster turned supports and cross stretchers.
