A FRENCH WHITE MARBLE CHIMNEYPIECE, in the Louis XVI style, with a rectangular breakfront shelf with moulded edge above egg-and-dart, the frieze centred by a festive urn with floral garlands and scrolling foliage, the jambs each headed by a square floral rosette and with a scroll volute above a fluted pilaster, on block foot, the hearth moulding carved with acanthus, the sides with fielded rectangular panels, second half 19th century
