Royal blue, a most attractive cut round example cancelled in red and tied to native cover - apparently dated 25 March 1866 and possibly the earliest recorded date of use, (piece bearing stamp cut out and replaced), ex Masson and Dawson; together with two cut round examples on pieces - one a 4a. value with the value altered in Chinese white to resemble at 1a. Also unlisted 4a. tied by red seal cancellation to reverse of damaged native XU5.
