1897-1904, the plating study comprising the following complete sheets, 1897-98 ½a., 1898-1900 ½a. greyish blue, ½a. greenish grey, ½a. black on thin white surfaced paper and two further sheets, 1901-02 ½a. black on pale grey (2, one showing "BFLA" flaw), ½a. black on pale green and 1a. black on orange, 1904 wide setting ½a. black on pale blue (2) and ½a. black on pale greenish grey (3); together with a further forty-one stamps (some in multiples) to aid plating. A remarkable lot with many shades etc. seldom offered in sheet form. Many are ex Evans. (326)
