1847-1977, a collection of cover (174, 22 registered) and stamps/pieces (97); the XU5 (many are modern Q.E.) include 1847 E.L. to London showing double-arc d.s. on reverse (struck across join which has faults), 1895 registered to Germany bearing 1891 1/- tied by c.d.s., 1940-44 censored mail (13) and interesting sections of maritime mail and slogans; the stamps/pieces show a fine range of cancellations which include abbreviated c.d.s. with "BEQ" (4) in black, "CA" in red on 4d. yellow dated 1874 and in black on 1d. drab dated 1883, and "UE" in red on 6d. dated 1878, and extended c.d.s. on a range of Q.V.-K.E. values. An interesting lot worth careful examination.
