PERCUSSION 12-BORE SHOTGUN AND 16-BORE SPORTING RIFLE with rebrowned twist barrels, each set signed on the rib and with platinum plugs (shotgun barrels pitted), the rifle barrels cut for a winged bullet and sighted to 200 yards, signed scroll engraved locks, figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip, engraved iron mounts including patch-box cover decorated with a stag and a hind, engraved silver escutcheon, and original brass-mounted ramrod: in lined and fitted two-tier oak case with some accessories, the lid with trade label, by George and John Deane, 30 King William Street, London Bridge, circa 1850
