II, p. 527, fig. 3, for a silvered wall-light of this model at Schlöss Charlottenburg, Berlin, attributed to Saint-Germain on stylistic grounds, being closely related to a signed pair of silvered wall-lights decorated with stag's-heads, (fig. 2.2.5)

These wall-lights have probably been re-silvered using the close plating process, popular in the early 19th Century and superceded by electro-plating around 1840
