A LOUIS XIV BOULLE ORMOLU-MOUNTED EBONY, RED TORTOISESHELL AND BRASS-INLAID COMMODE in premier and contre partie, with brass-bound rounded rectangular top inlaid with Berainesque designs depicting musicians beneath a cartouche-shaped canopy, flanked by trumpeters within arabesque foliate borders, above three serpentine-fronted long drawers between chamfered angles inlaid with simulated fluting and mounted with foliate trails, with associated panels to the sides, upon a later shaped platform base with tamed lion-mask mounts and on brass bun feet, the boulle panels late 17th Century/early 18th Century, extensive restorations and partially remounted, reconstructed
