A PAIR OF SPANISH BRASS-INLAID AND GILTMETAL-MOUNTED EBONY, EBONISED AND RED TORTOISESHELL CABINETS-ON-STANDS, each with breakfronted pierced giltmetal-mounted cornice surmounted by military figures above a central architectural niche geometrically panelled and mounted with stylised foliate arabesques, surmounted by winged cherubs between turned columns and herm caryatids, opening to reveal a geometrically-inlaid door and five drawers, each simulated as two drawers and inlaid with interlaced concentric circles, flanked to each side by four graduated panelled moulded drawers on a moulded breakfront plinth base with claw and ball feet, the sides with geometric parquetry inlay and carrying-handles, on ebonised breakfront stands with trestle end-supports linked by cast iron stretchers, restorations, replacements, some figures later cast, several of the feet detached and replaced, the cabinets mid-17th Century
