A PAIR OF IVORY BUDDHISTIC LION VESSELS, finely carved to depict the caparisoned lions on a shaped base in mirror image, each attended by two boys, one crouching on its head, the other at its side holding a puppy and the other a ruyi sceptre, and bearing on its back a tall trumpet-mouthed vase, gu, carved in relief with ruyi and a dragon coiling around the neck (minor age cracks), 19th Century
