A rare enamelled triptych by Nelson & Edith Dawson, rectangular frame with pierced details, mounted on arched feet, with ornate finials of grotesque ferocious beasts, with two doors, strap hinged and each section mounted with enamelled inscription, enclosing a series of five enamelled panels of a peacock with full tail display, flanked by a peacock's eye feather with the inscriptions Vanitas Vanitatum; Libido Oculorum Nefastus Vita, Miles (the Knight), and his lady, Amor Mundi (love of the world), and repoussé inscription For Wisdom is better than Rubies, the reverse with copper panel with a border of repoussé decoration and Nelson Dawson and Edith, his wife made me, Chelsea 1896, the central peacock panel signed with Maple leaf and dated 1896
