A mahogany corner cabinet by Gordon Russell, with a moulded pediment above a pair of glazed panel doors with symmetrical ebonised overlaid mouldings and octagonal boxwood rosettes, flanked by glazed panel sides with a shelved interior, the arched frieze with a pair of small drawers, each crossbanded and outlined, above central slender turned and spirally fluted uprights, with six reeded and moulded legs on octagonal feet, united by a chamfered stretcher, the underside of the right hand drawer with the Russell Workshop label Design No.579 and dated May 25th 1929
