The "Bicycle" One Penny Stamps
There were three printing plates used to produce the 9476 stamps of this issue. The first printing from Plate 3 accounted for 400 sheets or nearly 50 of the issue. Plate 2, which resulted from a second printing, was used for 334 stamps. A final printing, probably done just prior to the relief, was a very short run, and only about 68 sheets were printed from Plate 1
