Note:
The Transvaal surcharged stamp was probably obtained from a colleague as the other covers from Corporal Bailey at this time are franked with Natal 1d. stamps.
Lieutenant Arthur Wellesley Hast's service with the Regiment was virtually the same as that of Captain Anderson - see the previous lot.
