Extract:
This place is about 9 miles from Fort Chelmsford - the 91st, half a Batallion of natives and two guns with a few engineers garrison it. They take a horrid long time to bring up supplies and say now we won't be able to move on for another month. A large convoy passed here yesterday for Fort Chelmsford and I shall fancy this road will see a good many more. Yesterday I was sketching the country round about here.
