TWO SIMILAR ARITA BLUE AND WHITE DISHES each decorated to the centre with the VOC monogram of the Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie surrounded by birds in flight and perched on rockwork among peonies and pomegranates within a border of alternating panels of prunus and bamboo issuing from rockwork and further peonies, one dish with metal rim (both damaged), late 17th century
